Before proceeding, please note that some of the options mentioned below may not exactly match the fields available in your SIP system. Each SIP provider uses slightly different naming conventions. We recommend that you also share these steps with your SIP provider’s support team so they can guide you on where each detail should be entered.

Here are the steps to correctly set up the SIP widget:

Step 1: Set Up Origination (Inbound Calls)

Navigate to the Origination section in your SIP Trunk settings.
Add your Insighto SIP URI in the following format: sip:+ < Phone number > @sip.insighto.ai
(Replace “Phone number” with your chosen SIP number attached to this trunk.)

Step 2: Set Up Termination (Outbound Calls)

Configure the Termination settings. The termination SIP URI is critical for outbound requests.
Set up authentication using username & password
Whitelist the following IP address for SIP signaling: 54.236.168.131

Step 3: Create the SIP Widget in Insighto

Create a new widget and select the widget type as SIP, enter the phone number (with country code), and enable both Inbound Calls and Outbound Calls checkboxes.

For Outbound Calls, add:

  • Termination Phone URL: from step 2
  • SIP Username: authentication as per step 2
  • SIP Password: authentication as per step 2

For Inbound Calls, add:

  • IP address of the origin server: your SIP trunk’s IP that will reach our server — this IP must be whitelisted by our SIP service, please share this with us
  • IP Subnet Mask: if it’s a fixed IP, use 32, or else use the integer mask depending upon the range.
Make sure that the DID configured is same as the phone number entered by you in the Insighto.ai platform.
