Here are the steps to correctly set up the SIP widget:
Step 1: Set Up Origination (Inbound Calls)
Navigate to the Origination section in your SIP Trunk settings.Add your Insighto SIP URI in the following format: sip:+ < Phone number > @sip.insighto.ai (Replace “Phone number” with your chosen SIP number attached to this trunk.)
Step 2: Set Up Termination (Outbound Calls)
Configure the Termination settings. The termination SIP URI is critical for outbound requests.Set up authentication using username & password
Whitelist the following IP address for SIP signaling: 54.236.168.131
Step 3: Create the SIP Widget in Insighto
Create a new widget and select the widget type as SIP, enter the phone number (with country code), and enable both Inbound Calls and Outbound Calls checkboxes.For Outbound Calls, add:
- Termination Phone URL: from step 2
- SIP Username: authentication as per step 2
- SIP Password: authentication as per step 2
For Inbound Calls, add:
- IP address of the origin server: your SIP trunk’s IP that will reach our server — this IP must be whitelisted by our SIP service, please share this with us
- IP Subnet Mask: if it’s a fixed IP, use
32, or else use the integer mask depending upon the range.
