Staff & roles
The agency-staff page is where you invite the people who'll help run the agency itself — not the subaccount end customers. Different role set from inside-workspace teams: four roles here, with the Owner as the original signup user.
The four roles
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. Cannot be removed. Derived from the user who originally created the agency. |
| Admin | Everything except changing the Owner. Can invite, can change other roles below Owner. |
| Member | Day-to-day agency operation — view subaccounts, view analytics, manage rebilling configs, edit branding. |
| Viewer | Same access as Member today (they behave identically; the role exists for forward-compat). |
The Owner is whoever originally created the agency — that's a fixed link. There is no "transfer ownership" UI today. If ownership needs to change, contact Insighto support.
Invite a staff member
- Open Manage Agency → Staff → Invite.
- Enter the email, pick a role, click Send invite.
- The invitee gets an email with a sign-up / sign-in link.
Invites expire in 7 days. If the invitee misses the window, resend from the same screen.
Role changes
Only an Owner can change roles. Admins can invite new staff but cannot promote / demote existing staff. This protects against an Admin promoting themselves and locking out the Owner.
Remove a staff member
From the staff list, an Owner or Admin can remove anyone except the Owner. Removing them revokes agency access — they still have their personal Insighto login, just no longer attached to the agency.
How this differs from team roles
Don't confuse this page with the inside-workspace Teams page:
- Agency staff — people running the agency.
- Team members — people inside a single workspace (could be the agency's own, or a subaccount).
A user can be on both. For example, an agency Admin can also be a Member of a customer's team to help debug.
Where to next
- Subaccounts — the customers your staff manage.
- Rebilling — billing setup that Admins typically own.
- Branding — the visual side of the agency.
